SAP FI-CO Configuration Consultant
Position Description
The MassMutual Finance/Corporate Technology Team, part of MassMutual's Technology and Data organization seeks an exceptional and experienced SAP FI-CO Configuration Consultant with a strong background in US Finance operations as well as Financial Systems functionality in support of a Corporate Finance Organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ECC FI-CO configuration and functional support. They will be responsible for soliciting and documenting business requirements, understanding technical dependencies, solving functional challenges and liaising with business and technical colleagues. Candidate must be team oriented and possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Work with limited guidance on complex finance production support, solutions and project assignments within the SAP configuration landscape
- Work very closely with both business and technical stakeholders
- Operate independently on multiple project and support tasks
- Participate in small project testing
- Facilitate and drive requirements gathering sessions
- Collaborate with business and system experts
- Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, reporting, data and rules
- Negotiate and influence requirements direction
- Document requirements (functional and non-functional) and create use case
- Analyze and decompose business rules
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements/solutions design
- Assist other team members with understanding the business requirement
- Look for and finds ways to continuously improve operations
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Bachelors Degree
- At least 5 years of SAP ECC FI-CO experience
- 5-10 years related work experience in a Technical or Business Analyst role
- Hands on configuration experience with GL, CO, AP, AA, Treasury, Cash Management and Banking
- Strong technical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP implementations and data related projects
- CO Assessment and Distribution knowledge a plus
- Experience with Financial Services including CFO functions
- Familiar with US Finance Statutory and GAAP Reporting requirements
- Experience with drafting business requirements
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and can work on multiple assignments at once
- Ability to own and drive business analysis on small projects
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP implementations and data related projects
- Testing skills
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff
- Highly organized and collaborative
