Printer Technician
Desktop Metal is revolutionizing 3D printing of metal parts. Our printer’s robust build processes create complex parts beautifully at a price attainable by any design and manufacturing team and can be used within an office environment. We are seeking talented and self-motivated technician to help break down the barriers that are holding metal 3D printing back: price, performance, and variety of materials.
The Printer Technician will be responsible for:
Depowdering
- Depowder printed parts
- Inspect parts for defect and document findings
- Complete dimensioning or imaging tasks as needed
- Maintain meticulous part and print tracking logs
- Maintain an organized part storage system
- Communicate print results to various teams
Sintering
- Arrange parts on shelves for sintering
- Document sintering layout
- Load and unload furnaces
- Select cycle and operate furnaces
Post-Sinter
- Inspect parts for defect and document findings
- Complete dimensioning or imaging tasks as needed
- Maintain an organized sintered part storage system
- Communicate sintering results to various teams
- Deliver sintered parts to various teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience using and developing databases.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle fragile parts
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
