The Print System Engineering team tackles issues that impact customer print outcomes. Engineers on this team are faced with new challenges and problems to investigate and solve on a regular basis. If you like new and different challenges, this is the team for you.

The Print System Technician role entails printing test suites and parts on an internal fleet of 3D printers for engineering and development. Test suites will contain variables that must be adjusted and tracked throughout the prints. These parts must be logged and tracked as they progress through the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the printers.
  • Becoming a pro at creating prints for and using Markforged 3D printers.
  • Setting up and running print jobs on a daily basis.
  • Configuring printers with different hardware and material variables
  • Configuring software variables of parts to be printed
  • Performing maintenance of 3D printers
  • Documenting all prints in terms of their settings
  • Analyzing print results
  • Interacting with various engineering teams to conduct tests
  • Managing the backlog of print requests and shuffling the queue for changing priorities

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with and maintaining 3D printers
  • Experience with parametric CAD (SolidWorks, OnShape, Fusion 360, etc.)
  • Experience using precision measuring tools
  • Experience with software development tools
  • 1+ year manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work unattended with minimal supervision
  • A positive attitude
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills, including use of spreadsheets, documentation systems, Wikis
