The Large Parcel Delivery team is looking to add an Operations Manager to their Regional Operations Specialist group! This person will play a key role in managing final mile delivery partners and overseeing new initiatives within Wayfair’s delivery network.

We are looking for the right individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong people management skills, and a background in transportation to help bolster this core transportation team. This is a highly visible and exciting role for the company and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to manage one of our core operational functions.

What you will do:

· Manage a team of Operations Specialists overseeing all final mile delivery operations across the US and Canada
· Identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements within Wayfair’s transportation process as it relates to final mile delivery
· Provide guidance and best practices to all team members
· Create reporting and enhanced metrics to be shared amongst the team and other business stakeholders
· Alert management to any trends associated with internal team performance and final mile delivery partnership performance, and put in place corrective actions to address
· Work closely with transportation performance managers to identify critical trouble areas and help the teams find viable solutions
· Act as a business owner for enhancing team strategy and workflow processes

Who you are:

· You have a BA/BS, with strong academic record
· Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
· You have 2-4 years of people management skills; transportation background a plus
· Not afraid to present business cases to senior leadership
· Passionate about solving complex business problems
· Extremely organized, meticulous and detailed oriented
· Able to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
· Able to lead discussions and communicate effectively
· Positive, people-oriented, and enthusiastic
· Work well under deadlines
