Silverthread is a startup/growth company founded in 2013 to commercialize MIT Engineering and Harvard Business School. Silverthread founders and leaders are recognized experts in finance & technology management. We are a very casual workplace, and the 5 of us in Boston enjoy our WeWork office near North Station. We also have a software development team in Reno, NV. It’s becoming increasingly apparent that we need an ‘Office Ninja’ - someone who can help do administrative work, make the ship sail straight, keep things organized, and take on special projects.
Duties
This person will report to directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the typical office management things like managing Google Drive, Confluence, Asana and various other on-line accounts, taking notes & keeping minutes, writing emails, arranging travel, organizing social events. This person should be someone who is good at multitasking, organized, and can drive things to completion in a fast-paced environment. In addition, we want this person to quickly become comfortable communicating and working with customers, lawyers, external consultants, executives at other firms, etc. The person should be able to write well, present themselves well in a professional environment, and think on their feet.
Required Skills
We are looking for an energetic person who can get work done quickly and well. The person needs to be sociable, self-motivated, bright, have good judgement, be able to knock down barriers, be able to act professionally & formally both internally and externally with clients, and be trusted with confidential or sensitive information such as financials, HR info, etc. The person will need to be pretty confident working with computers - typing, Word, Excel, Web Systems. We encourage new college graduates to apply as enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are more important than specific skills.
Compensation & Apply
Compensation commensurate with experience, we are looking in the $25/hour range.
