Notarize is hiring a Solutions Architect Manager who will build and manage a team of highly skilled and dedicated pre-sales Solutions Architects in support of sales to achieve revenue targets and ensure customer success. You will have the lead technical role in supporting sales activities, and be actively engaged with key customers and opportunities. You will work cross functionally ensuring tight alignment between sales and other organizations (Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product Management and Engineering) within Notarize.


This is a hands-on coach/player management role. The Solutions Architect Manager must understand the clients' overall business and how to position Notarize products, messaging and services and be an authority on Notarize and industry-standard technologies. The Solutions Architect Manager is responsible for overseeing that their team is effectively supporting the sales revenue opportunities of the organization by ensuring the team has proper processes, procedures, and technologies to achieve sales goals. The Solutions Architect Manager is also responsible for motivating and driving the professional development of their Solutions Architect staff, including mentorship, training, and performance evaluation. The position requires the ability to multitask between team members in their support of different clients, sales opportunities, and other initiatives.

What you'll do as a Manager of Solutions Architects at Notarize:

  • Build and manage a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects in order to optimize sales and revenue volume.
  • Engage directly with Sales and Sales Leadership to provide support for pre-sales activities across all Notarize product and services offerings
  • Act as a trusted advisor to higher-level sales management on strategic opportunities, emerging competitive threats, product direction, and sales strategies
  • Build and provide day-to-day guidance to Solutions Architects in the areas of discovery, technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and overcoming sales objections
  • Perform key functions to recruit, hire, and retain top pre-sales Solutions Architect talent including interviewing, candidate recommendations, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling, coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed.
  • Conduct regular 1:1’s with team members to provide constructive feedback, skills development, and career path guidance
  • Define and build weekly and monthly Solutions Architect performance metrics, promote opportunity awareness and proactive Solutions Architect engagement by building and monitoring Salesforce.com activities.
  • Collect customer feedback, enhancements and feature requests and disseminate findings to product management, engineering, corporate and technical support in order to continuously improve product offerings.
  • Communicate, connect and align people within the direct team and develop internal relationships across Notarize virtual teams within the organization.

What we're looking for:

  • 2 years plus Management experience
  • 5 years prior pre-sales experience in a high-tech with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
  • Experience with enterprise-level sales a MUST
  • Previous experience in a pre-sale role selling at the C-Suite level
