Manager, Operational Strategy

As Manager of Operational Strategy, you will be responsible for analytics and reporting used to drive the success of the Account Servicing Department (ASD) and manage a growing team of three Associates. In this role, you will investigate and implement opportunities for increased efficiency and growth, working closely with department leadership and other functions in the business including Marketing, Sales, Underwriting, and the Executive Leadership Team. Customer experience is a key differentiator for Forward Financing and you will be an integral part of our mission. This role offers remote flexibility 3 days per week.
In this role you will:
- Develop efficient solutions to unique problems.
- Analyze monthly collections, understand key data points, identify trends and patterns in the data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to ASD leadership.
- Assist with the creation, development, and maintenance of ASD team dashboards to organize data, report results, and drive future growth.
- Own daily/weekly/monthly/yearly ASD operational reporting and executive dashboards.
- Maintain and improve ASD systems and the quality of the data in these programs.
- Manage a team of three individuals that will help ensure the processes you put in place are operating effectively.
- Contribute to, and help enhance, the Account Servicing operating model.
- Provide analysis on performance incentives and what behaviors we should be tying to variable compensation to improve results.
- Develop/design incentive compensation plans and own monthly calculation of the department’s variable compensation.
- Make recommendations to company leadership on process or system improvements and own implementation of projects.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in consulting, finance, operations, or analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience evaluating unique problems, collaboratively creating solutions, drafting project plans and delivering effective new business processes.
- Ability to build long-lasting relationships with key contacts at all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter, confident, with strong attention to detail and an ability to apply your analytical mind to solving problems.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested IF statements, index match, etc.), PowerPoint, and other related tools.
- Proficient with common analytics and/or sales software such as Salesforce and/or Tableau.
- Great teammate who has a positive outlook and can thrive in the fast paced world of ASD.
