Overview

We're looking for an exceptionally talented individual to manage our GTM (Go-To-Market) business systems and processes. The role will be pivotal in being the spokesperson and advocate for GTM in driving out requirements back to the systems development teams, including Netsuite and CPQ. It will also require hand-on coaching to ensure that these systems are understood, adopted and leveraged by Sales Managers and their Sales Rep’s.

 

This individual will have a strong background in Netsuite (or CRM tool) from a Sales Rep and Manager perspective and be comfortable recommending system improvements and enhancements to the Netsuite Team, prioritizing must-haves versus nice-to-have’s and represent the GTM team at our monthly business systems agility meetings. In parallel, this individual must have the talent and desire to coach, train and mentor Sales Managers and Sales Rep’s into the effective adoption and utilization of our business systems. Key to the role will be the ability to coach “self-help” as opposed to becoming a crutch for the sales force.

 

Responsibilities

The GTM - Sales Operations team is the key interface between the Business Systems Team (SFDC, Netsuite and CPQ), Sales, Finance, Channel and Marketing so this individual need to understand the impact of systems changes on sales and the rest of the organization as they endeavor to keep processes simple for the sales team. Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Maximize how we use technology to Go-to-Market - Drive the vision for business systems (primarily Salesforce.com) and our tech stack (LinkedIn, Discover.Org/Zoom, EZGov etc.)
  • Define the GTM reporting strategy to provide actionable data and “reports of record” to be utilized across all GTM as a supplement to our business intelligence tools.
  • Work with the Mimecast’s BI team to identify key reporting metrics to ensure business critical and external metrics are captured with efficacy.
  • Facilitate an organization of continuous process improvement - Collaborate to globalize and streamline process through systems and work to eliminate friction points. Constantly strive to give time back to our customer facing teams through system productivity.
  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s use of business systems
  • Represent GTM to recommend improvements and changes to business systems/IT - Act as the strategic lead for GTM at in any initiatives impacting business systems.
  • Work with Mimecast’s enablement team to develop and deliver best practices content around processes to ensure GTM team is always using our tools as prescribed.
  • Work closely with sales management to ensure our business systems are being adopted across GTM and are being utilized effectively.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a Sales Operations and/or Business Systems role, providing hands-on recommendations for process and systems improvement, while assuming the role of sales systems coach and confidant,
  • Equally at ease in cross-functional meetings as the GTM advocate and advisor as he/she is at walking the sales floor providing hand-on coaching and mentoring in using the systems,
  • A degree in business / systems (for example Business Studies, Finance, Programming)
  • A highly accomplished communicator, both in senior management settings as well one-on-one’s with Sales Managers and Rep’s,
  • Ability to articulate process changes and improvements up and down the organization,
  • At ease in leveraging virtual resources and teaming to drive projects to on time completion
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
