Manager, Global Category Strategy - Innovation
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Category Management, this position is a critical leadership role on a transformational category management team focused on driving analytics and strategic support to SharkNinja’s global cross functional business partners across product development, brand, consumer insights, and retail. This role will be charged with providing actionable insights from market data and category trends to influence SharkNinja’s global product strategy and successful launches of innovation. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, seasoned strategic team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere.
Core Responsibilities
- Using market and shopper data, identifies white space opportunities in adjacent and existing categories, advocating for innovation development with cross functional team, more specifically Product Development and Executive Leadership
- Delivers critical insights to build global projections for innovation demand and sets KPIs
- Key member of cross-functional innovation team, bringing data and insights to the conversation and sparking ideas for making products as successful as possible at launch
- Working with Consumer Insights, ensures that shopper dynamics are understood and planned for in GTM strategy and execution
- Partners with the cross functional team to develop initial sell in deck for new products to be sold-in to retailers
- Conducts ongoing analysis on category trends to facilitate targeted media campaigns/spend, enhancing ROI
- Leverage market data to develop compelling and insightful stories to support customer meetings; present insights and provide strategic point of view in internal/external meetings as well as ad hoc discussions as applicable
- Conducts global market research and attends industry conferences to discover trends and hot topics, identifying new resources for insights generation

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant work experience within sales strategy, brand development, category management and/or shopper insights
- Experience analyzing syndicated data (NPD, Nielsen, IRI, GFK)
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to present and calibrate on critical challenges on the executive level
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Office skills
- Managerial experience a plus
