About The Team
Drift is looking to add a Manager, Finance Operations to help scale our Deal Desk and Quote to Cash process. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Boston. This person will be a leader on the finance team, building and fostering key business partnerships across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead GTM advocate in the creation or improvement to policies, systems and procedures to maximize efficiency of the quote-to-cash process
- Advise sales reps and sales leadership on contracts including: deal structure, pricing, discounting guidance and positioning
- Ensure approvals for non-standard deals have been properly documented, escalated to the right approval levels and resolved within reasonable timeframes
- Work with Sales to validate ARR forecast for non-standard deals, including the correct fiscal period and values. Advise sales on terms that influence fiscal periods and values.
- Work with Legal and Finance teams in helping negotiate sales agreements in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures while at the same time being focused on growing the business and assisting the sales organization in getting deals done.
- Identify, investigate and resolve billing issues with the assistance of Operations and Technology teams to analyze errors and trace back to the root cause
- Confirm customer orders are structured in accordance with internal policies and procedures
- Manage the daily invoicing of customer orders for software subscriptions and licenses ensuring proper automated configuration of billing and license fulfillment
- Drive customer collections process to maintain cash flows; develop and maintain an effective escalation process
- Manage the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of month-end billing and mid-month renewals
- Report on the results of your work, developing and monitoring order, billing and cash collection metrics
- Own documentation of key processes and lead training of new stakeholders and sales team members
- Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, Legal, Product, Accounting, and other key teams across the company
About you and what type of skills you’ll need:

You will be a team player, able to work across different departments and different management levels, and focused on solving business and financial challenges.
- 5 to 7 years of FP&A, Sales Operations or Deal Desk experience with a strong understanding of a QTC process and revenue recognition principles
- Demonstrated history of identifying and implementing process improvements
- Proven track record of managing, coaching and developing team members
- High attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and problem solving
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers as needed
- NetSuite, Salesforce and DealHub experience a plus
