Superpedestrian is hiring a Logistics Specialist whose primary responsibilities are to oversee the arrangement of inbound/outbound container, LCL, air, and parcel movements to/from Superpedestrian facilities; review and audit freight invoices for import/export prior to payment approval; comply with local, federal, and international trade regulations; and ensure all service provider statement of works are being met.


What you’ll do:

-Responsible for quoting, planning, scheduling, evaluating, and executing transportation services for domestic and international shipments.

-Prepares shipping documentation such as Commercial Invoices, IATA documents, Declaration forms, and other documents as required.

-Manage shipping orders from internal SP teams, enter orders in WMS/TMS systems and coordinate with 3PL partners to ensure on-time delivery.

-Negotiate rates, audit carrier invoices, and assist in the billing process to ensure accuracy in data & pricing.

-Develop strong interaction, in and amongst service providers, and the internal team to ensure fluid, efficient movement of shipments.

-Identify service issues trends and escalate them to the Logistics Manager.

-Report on monthly metrics related to the movement of goods, carrier performance, and related freight metrics.

-Comply with all applicable transportation regulations, international trade regulations, and company policies.

-Audit current HTSUS classifications, identify risk areas, such as customs value, classification, origin, disputes, authorizations, and rulings outside broker management, and make recommendations on potential improvements.


What we’re looking for:

-Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

-Logistics, transportation & supply chain experience are a must.

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in international freight forwarding (Air- and Ocean freight), domestic (TL and LTL), and parcel shipping is preferred.

-Good understanding of US Customs and Import Laws and Regulations (CFR 19) as well as knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Hazmat/DG regulations and procedures.

-Experience working with HTSUS and local Harmonized Tariff Schedules and in interpretation and application of classification concepts and references.

-Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with written communications.

-Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.

-Proficiency in Google Docs, Excel.

-HAZMAT/DG certification is a plus.
