Lead, Strategy and Operations - Finance

Toast is looking for a motivated, technical, problem solver to help transform our finance infrastructure and support the exponential growth of our business. The transformation of our systems will allow us to unlock upstream go-to-market pricing strategies, create more consistent customer experiences and make our internal operations more efficient. In this role, you will be working with business leaders and collaborating with our business systems team by utilizing your technical expertise and business insights. You will work closely with our Finance and Business Services teams to plan, design and build optimal solutions for our systems and applications. This is a unique opportunity to make a massive impact on our business and re-think & re-do a core section of the customer journey.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Support the design and implementation of a highly complex, cross-functional project focusing on the improvement / redesign of key business and financial processes
- Work with a group of cross-functional business stakeholders to understand their goals and operational requirements
- Organize interview assets into clear current and future state use cases, detailed user stories, and process flows
- Partner with business / technology stakeholders to drive requirements / business process design / functional implementation of technology helping move from current state to the desired future state post implementation
- Create testing scenarios to deliver business ready solutions, including mechanisms for feedback and iterative enhancements.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the internal operations and data teams on how different pieces of information are collected and used
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement, analysis, and document for backlog or future enhancements
- Have a strategic mind for the areas of potential risk -- deftly coming up with forward looking ideas on how to prevent issues from arising
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 3-5 years of Finance or Billing Operations, Product management, Salesforce Administration, Salesforce Consulting, NetSuite Administration, NetSuite Consulting, or other equivalent experience.
- Experience with Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Jira, and lucidchart strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience of solving complex problems using a data-driven approach
- Demonstrated experience in improving processes to drive efficiency
- Experience in managing projects from conception to delivery
- Strong working knowledge of the overlap between operations, systems, and external applications
- Action-oriented, "can do" attitude demonstrating willingness to accept accountability and responsibility for individual actions, and team results.
