Position Summary

Netcracker Technology is looking to hire an IT Engineer to join our growing company! This position will be based out of our Global headquarters in Waltham, MA and will be part of our Corporate IT department, supporting our newly built and state of the art Executive Business Center.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with our Sales Engineering team and other client representatives in the Executive Business Center
  • Acting as the lead IT contact to hosted clients and integration partners
  • Desktop, servers and network support Duties
  • Working with the network team to configure Network devices and will be operating on Cisco Environment
  • Incident, problem management and ownership of the issues till resolution. Handling Trouble tickets and Network Service Requests raised by the Users
  • Basic computer and mobile phones repairs
  • Assisting regional Data Center Support team
  • Working with audio and video mixing equipment, providing technical support with audio and video conferences
  • Liaise and work with overseas IT teams and 3rd Party vendors for early resolution of complex issues as well act as the interface between IT and other Business units / Resource Units
  • Inventory Management - Ensure availability of adequate stock on hand and refresh of End of Life / below Standard Operating Equipment and the inventory is maintained
  • Ownership of technical aspects of End User Computing such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
  • Remote and local support of Netcracker on-site teams within North America region
  • Ensure that the computers meet the minimum requirements such as latest patch updates, disk space, mandatory reboots etc.
  • Ensure IT processes is in line with Corporate Technology Governance / InfoSec
  • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Manage IT projects from start to finish independently and within a team

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong customer facing experience including interacting with executives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international (10-15% annually)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, System Administration, Windows management tools
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux environments including server OS
  • Knowledge of Networking fundamentals (Cisco, D-Link or Dell network equipment managing, configuring and troubleshooting)
  • Experience troubleshooting Anti-Virus related issues, troubleshooting printer related issues, should be able to resolve day-to-day desktop issues
  • Knowledge on printers, server environment, Microsoft MDT concepts
  • Reporting, administrative writing skills, Microsoft Office Skills, managing processes, organization, analyzing information, professionalism, problem solving, supply management, inventory control, verbal communication

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience required)
