The Office of Enterprise Resilience (OER) oversees preparedness, response and recovery efforts intended to build resilience and minimize business impact from threats and hazards across the MassMutual Enterprise. The team is responsible for the following functions: Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Third Party Resiliency, Emergency tools and Notifications and IT Disaster Recovery.

In this role as the Program Lead for the IT Disaster Recovery program you will be responsible for oversight and execution of program governance, including development of new technical plan needs, plan maintenance, and end-to-end support of the IT Disaster Recovery exercise strategy and execution. You will engage across the IT Infrastructure organization to identify continuity and recovery needs and coordinate the implementation viable recovery solutions, across a dynamic technical environment of ~1100 technical plans (data center hosted, SaaS, cloud). As the Program Lead you will develop key metrics and reporting to showcase the program health and progress.

The role also includes driving strategic alignment of technology capabilities to recovery strategies, providing consultative guidance and development of a program roadmap, working closely with the Enterprise Resilience team to increase maturity between IT Disaster Recovery and Business Impact Analysis. The Program Lead will be involved in the highly complex IT disaster recovery plans – including data back-up, recovery and cloud solutions, program design and manages execution of IT disaster recovery framework, including incident activations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy and supporting roadmap for the IT disaster recovery program

  • Work with technical teams to identify requirements and develop viable test plans and recovery solutions

  • Accountable for program governance activities, including disaster recovery exercise planning and execution, plan development and maintenance

  • Drive adherence to of all compliance, regulatory and continuity requirements

  • Provide consultative support to disaster recovery staff to ensure execution of tasks are achieved

  • Own and support the tactical execution of internal and cross-functional initiatives

  • Assist and provide expertise to staff to support development of effective governance activities

  • Work closely with disaster recovery staff and counterparts; consults and assists with accountabilities

  • Partner across business units to ensure compliance with corporate continuity policies.

  • Able to assist in analyzing, problem solving, and real-time incident response, guiding resolution end-to-end

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree or 7 or more years of equivalent work experience 

  • 5 or more years of experience in IT disaster recovery / business continuity planning 

  • Industry Certifications a plus, such as CBCP, MBCP, or Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS)
