MachineMetrics, a leader in IoT platforms for machines, is seeking an Integration Hardware and Inventory Assistant to join their Customer Operations Team. The Customer Operations team is responsible for making sure that our customers get the MOST value out of our product. There is significant opportunity in this position to design best practices that impact the entire company. 

The Integration Hardware and Inventory Assistant is primarily responsible for managing hardware inventory, hardware assembly, provisioning, and shipping, as well as working across teams to achieve strategic business goals and objectives. The ideal individual displays the attitude, aptitude, and amplitude to not only get the job done but grow within a scaling startup.

Working with the Hardware Operations Manager, you will focus on sourcing, assembling, testing, and provisioning of hardware as required to meet our customers’ needs, as well as maintaining relationships with third party vendors. Management of miscellaneous office admin tasks will also be expected.

  • Assemble, provision/configure, package, ship, and track all hardware to domestic and international customers according to strict timelines; support trade show material shipping
  • Work with the CSM’s, integrators, and sales. Attend internal handoff calls to ensure accurate customer information and hardware needs
  • Manage inventory and organization of all integration hardware. Order and return hardware as needed by partnering with sales to ensure enough hardware is available to support the sales pipeline.
  • Assist the Hardware Operations Manager with sourcing, researching, and maintaining relationships with hardware and service partners to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure MachineMetrics’ products are configured and implemented according to customers’ legal and technical requirements
  • Ensure projects and deliverables are completed within the expectations established by our time studies and according to specifications. Contribute to additional time trial studies with our hardware to help identify ways to improve efficiency of assembly and provisioning 
  • Follow standard operating procedures with regards to hardware provisioning and setup 
  • Ensure that project invoice items are communicated to Accounts Receivable in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Customer Operations Department to assist with troubleshooting or assisted integrations 
  • Partner with the Software development team to push security patches, firmware updates as necessary to Edge Devices, tablets, and other equipment
  • Collaborate with product documentation team on internal and customer-facing documentation
  • Manage misc office admin tasks- i.e. ordering office supplies, accepting shipments, keep office organized, etc. as needed


What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT or IT Operations
  • Supply chain experience, a plus but not required
  • Experience in Software and/or Manufacturing industries
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Strong technical skills - excitement and willingness to learn new platforms 
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 51+lbs with assistance 
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 15%
