Toast’s People team is growing! As the Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist, you will
support the Global Mobility team in creating a best in class experience for foreign
national candidates and employees at Toast.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
Oversee US immigration program, including:
- Oversee US immigration program, including:
- the annual US H-1B cap lottery process, including contingency planning ○ immigration questions and actions for Toast’s campus hiring efforts, including F-1 CPT, OPT, and OPT STEM extensions
- the US Labor Condition Application process, including Public Access File compliance and audits
- Manage US, Irish and Indian immigration cases in partnership with outside counsel, including new petitions, visa transfers, amendments, extensions, and applications for permanent residency
- Review, gather appropriate information and internal approvals, initiate, and monitor cases in partnership with outside counsel
- Work collaboratively with team to track cases, providing data on case metrics to help inform global strategy, and ensuring deadlines and start dates are timely met
- Develop analytics in support of program trends and support efforts to streamline and simplify immigration reporting
- Provide case consultations, guidance on hiring practices and policies, status updates for all cases as needed by partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, foreign national employee, and other stakeholders
- Utilize a strong working knowledge of immigration policies and procedures to recommend the appropriate immigration strategy to managers and HR Business Partners to proceed with a case in various situations including H-1B CAP Change of Status versus Consular Processing, international travel requests, and loss of work authorization
- Provide immigration support for global mobility situations, such as cross-country work assignments
- Participate in projects related to global mobility and support the administration of Toast’s global mobility policy, including process support for relocations and international assignments
- Participate in the administration of new PEO arrangements and support ongoing administration of PEO cases
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Minimum of 2-3 years immigration experience in a fast-paced environment ● Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to leverage technology tools to create efficiency, improve processes and client experience
- Ability to address complex situations and communicate impact effectively ● Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across functions
- Experience in reporting and data analysis a plus
- Candidates with previous immigration specialist or immigration paralegal experience encouraged to apply
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
