In this role you will:

  • Manage and develop direct reports within the Logistics vertical. 
  • Manage global inventory stock movement for $5-7 million (COGS) across up to 9 locations (including Contract Manufacturers). 
  • Establish and manage processes to improve inventory count accuracy with our 3PLs, CMs, and internal sites as we integrate partner systems to Markfogred’s Sage ERP. 
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements. 
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost. 
  • Create and manage budgets. 
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met. 
  • Manage warehouse relationships and processes with all global 3PLs, including setting up an APAC 3PL and potential forward stocking locations in EMEA for inventory. 
  • Manage our transportation spend with our portfolio of small parcel, freight carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers and negotiate on behalf of MF. Set up new transportation lanes for target expansion countries (Brazil, China, India). 
  • Support and execute protocols for MF to be in compliance with global export programs. 
  • Prepare Markforged SC for ISO-9001 certification in applicable areas of warehousing and inventory control. 
  • Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. 
  • Support MF sales cycle, managing efforts tied to order fulfillment, revenue recognition and any escalations. 

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably a minimum of 5-7 years of related responsibilities working in logistics, supply chain management or transportation operations. 
  • Previous management experience is a plus. 
  • Strong grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, & management principles. 
  • Strong understanding of LEAN concepts and demonstrated ability to apply concepts to daily operations. 
  • Strong team player with a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports. 
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Expert knowledge of logistics, inventory software and data systems.
