THE ROLE: Facilities Manager
We're looking for…
A Facilities Manager who will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing building operations and services. This includes ensuring the work facilities of a company are secure, well-maintained and functioning well, and that the needs of the employer and the employees are met.
What you’ll Accomplish:
- Develop, implements, publishes and monitors plans and procedures to ensure constant protection of the staff, facilities, and equipment against hazards.
- Oversee and directs all building renovations to ensure renovations occur within budgeted levels and conform to company specifications.
- Obtain and prepares cost estimates; coordinates all construction, remodeling, and repair projects and inspects completed work.
- Plan, selects, proposes, and implements equipment and systems upgrades and replacements to ensure efficiency and cost control.
- Work with area management to achieve maximum utilization of assigned facilities space.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships to support building needs.
- Manage with pride the buildings themselves for cleanliness and organization.
- Manage and prepare department budget for space utilization, standard office furniture, capital and leasehold items, time and material maintenance and equipment maintenance. Allocates to proper department's quarterly. Monitors budget variances.
- Manage assigned projects including special events.
- Interact with landlord and the Rue Gilt Groupe Legal department, managing all real estate, lease, and rental agreements.
- Evaluate and adjusts energy expenditures and installs greener appliances and fixtures to reduce energy output.
THE RIGHT FIT:
You have…
- Bachelors Degree with 5 or more years related experience
- Prior vendor management and superior negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience providing efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
- Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations using analytical and quantitative skills.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet. Working knowledge of leases, contracts and related documents.
