The Tech Org: 

The mission of the technology team is to provide the super power infrastructure that enables Thras.io to operate the most efficient, innovative, and effective next generation consumer products company in the world. If you are interested in working with large data systems, applying data science and predictive analytics, or building powerful interfaces for internal business customers then you will find those opportunities at Thrasio.


The Role:

We are looking for a technology representative to have a seat at the M&A table. This new Thrasher will be responsible for assisting with the due diligence and post-acquisition integration of newly acquired brands and companies, and is a new team being stood up by this new Thrasher. You will contribute both strategically and tactically to help our amazing teams grow sustainably at record speed by leading the tech side of M&A diligence, reporting directly to our VP of Engineering. This includes Corporate Development acquisitions as well as FBA/e-Commerce acquisitions. You will be responsible for ensuring that correct diligence and integration plans are completed for all acquisitions.

Some Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Supporting diligence efforts on the technology components of FBA/FBM/e-Commerce businesses
  • Doing technology diligence on Corporate Development acquisitions
  • Creating integration plans for newly acquired businesses
  • Guiding business through the technology integration process
  • Navigating Thrasio to find the right people to deep dive into the various business components
  • Writing tech-focused one pagers on all deals to ensure that tech has a good understanding of the requirements and implications of all deals
  • Shepherding all deals through the onboarding process
  • Creating process documentation and playbooks to improve every deal
  • Working with M&A to ensure that tech is included at every step of the acquisition process
  • Ensuring tech agrees to all M&A deals and exercise veto power when necessary; knowing when to raise the red and yellow flags on deals; working with supply and finance to ensure deal is integratable
  • Representing tech on the investment committee(s)
  • Managing a small team of analysts and project managers to track all acquisitions through all stages of the deal and acquisition
  • Giving weekly updates on all acquisitions to technology management

What You Bring to the Party:

  • 2-4 years experience doing technology due diligence on M&A deals is required; experience working at a tech focused venture capital, management consulting or similar firm/environment is highly preferred
  • People management experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Charismatic communication style
  • Strong research skills to quickly learn about new technologies and concepts
  • Highly collaborative
  • Strong analytical skills

Our office is about 15 miles southwest of Boston and is nestled between the commuter rail station, restaurants, town commons, and locally-owned shops.
