We are looking for a Director of Operations to oversee efforts in Restaurant Integrations. Restaurant Integrations powers point-of-sales integrations for our independent and enterprise restaurant partners. As a Director you will manage multiple teams responsible for piloting new brands and adding new restaurants to the platform, monitoring performance of our integrations and resolving technical issues as they arise. 

 

You will own the strategy, prioritization, staffing, design, and execution within that space. Our restaurants are a critical part of our marketplace bringing the ultimate product our diners want to receive. Our goals are to build scalable solutions allowing us to partner with the best independent and enterprise restaurants across the country to make them successful in our marketplace.

 

You will also be responsible for setting the tone for project execution, network performance, quality, culture, and recruiting. We firmly believe that the best leaders are those that are capable of execution and you will, from time to time, need to roll up your sleeves and participate in the nitty gritty.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle

  • Work with restaurant partners on solutions that allow them to list content on Grubhub’s marketplace and agency platforms. This includes programmatic restaurant and menu retrieval as well as order transmission to the point of sale.
  • End-to-end ownership for POS integrations from implementation to enhancements and maintenance
  • Improve and contribute to Grubhub’s strength in market with innovative, differentiated and competitive products and services 
  • Motivate, advise and guide operational and technical solutions across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Define and drive metrics for operational success for point of sale performance. Manage against these metrics with internal stakeholders, restaurant and point of sale partners.
  • Build relationships with business stakeholders across engineering, product, account management and care functions
  • Contribute to the adoption of best practices, and technologies. We are always improving the process of executing projects and supporting our brands, we need you to help contribute
  • Participate in future product direction
  • Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a large team while constantly raising the bar.
  • Positively evolve and maintain the Grubhub culture.

You Should Have

  • 10+ years experience leading high performance, cross functional teams in fast-paced growth environments
  • Demonstrated experience of growing top talent and addressing under-performers
  • Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic ideas with stakeholders, drive consensus and maintain clear focus on overarching business objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with C-level executives and leaders across teams including sales, engineering, product and care
  • Demonstrated experience launching new products in high growth markets
  • Experience managing or providing guidance to virtual team members and or teams
  • Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor system and product health
