Mission

On the International Operations Team, our mission is to help HubSpot grow internationally. By setting up new offices in other geographies and leading other large international programs, the international operations team provides a critical link in ensuring the success of our international business. The director of international operations will play a pivotal role in keeping our international trains running on time and on track, overseeing major international projects, tracking performance against targets, recommending plays to drive over performance and generally serving as the “global glue” that keeps our regions well connected to each other.

Challenge

You will contribute to HubSpot’s international expansion efforts by leading the charge on programs that are essential for international success. You’ll help regions solve problems, gain access to information and resources, and figure out how initiatives tie into overall international and global strategy. Exceptional planning, coordination, and communication skills are vital to success in this role, along with an eye for detail while keeping an eye on the big picture and progress toward long-term, multi-year international revenue and growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the program management, planning, and set-up of new offices for HubSpot in other locations throughout the world
  • Facilitate meetings with cross-functional stakeholders across geos to discuss roadblocks to international growth and find ways to remove them
  • Spearhead cross-functional projects that arise from these meetings
  • Work with regional sales and marketing leaders to ensure that regional growth targets are being met fully and on time
  • Work with regional functional leaders to track progress against regional monthly targets, understand blockers against performance, and align/coordinate to identify actions/programs to remove these blockers
  • Analyze data across geos and business lines to understand trends and trajectories
  • Help ensure regional and cross-geo alignment with global corporate and functional goals
  • Liaise with the localization team as new language support and globalization needs are uncovered to support international growth
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with international stakeholders across the company
  • Prepare ongoing summaries of our International business including new business growth, customer success, market penetration, partner performance, and our overall traction in each of our global regions

Qualifications

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Experience managing multi-geo / global projects
  • Ability to oversee execution at a detailed level while managing to bigger picture strategy and long-term goals
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work autonomously
  • Ability to navigate large networks of people spread across global teams
  • Knowledge of localization and globalization best practices
  • Knowledge of a SaaS and/or digital business model
  • Familiarity with international data and working with BI tools (e.g. Looker)
  • MBA from a top-tier university is highly desirable
