Simply Business is seeking an exceptional Director of Ecosystem Partnerships to develop a Direct to Enterprise sales channel, driving best-in-class customer experience, brand engagement and reach. We are looking for someone with deep roots in the small business SaaS community that has a genuine passion for partnership growth.
This is a high impact role responsible for growing revenue through channel partners. This person will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals. The Director of Ecosystem Partnerships will collaborate with internal Simply Business teams for technical support and product needs, in order to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue.
As our Director of Ecosystem Partnerships, you will:
- Craft the strategy for executing a partnership sales effort within the small business SaaS vertical
- Initiate commercial conversations with knowledge about a customer’s business, driving them through negotiation and into closure
- Identify key stakeholders, their objectives and metrics, and adjust messaging accordingly, by incorporating product and economic drivers to the customer business
- Clearly articulate SB’s business model, key cost drivers, growth paths, and value proposition
- Source and build relationships with prospective partners by understanding partners’ goals and clearly articulate how Simply Business can support.
- Research industry trends that impact all customers and become recognized as a trusted advisor within the SaaS partnership space
- Continuously ideate and innovate on SaaS partnership needs, opportunities and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in managing B2B Sales and Channel Partnership programs, with a strong background and existing relationships with small business-focused SaaS platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent experience.
- Self-motivated to meet specific sales goals with proven and demonstrable ability to exceed sales goals.
- Demonstrated history of decision making, taking accountability, demonstrated competitive spirit and ability to overcome obstacles to success.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with attention to detail and follow through.
- A strong can-do mentality to seek new solutions to old problems, and desire and ability to work in a nimble, fast growing environment, where working with autonomy and leading the way are critical.

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?
More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.
We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.
We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
