Director of Central GTM Operations Strategy and Execution
The Team:
This Central GTM Operations Team owns the operational strategy for GTM operations end-to-end, from vision to execution, driving innovation and re-imagining our processes and tools at a global scale while also owning vital business processes. Our mission is to be a step-change multiplier to the entire GTM organization by making it easier to do their jobs, spend more time with current and potential customers, and increase revenue. The scope of the team spans Salesforce.com design, global GTM overlay strategy & operations, sales and customer success tools/processes (e.g., Clari, Groove, pursuit planning, Gainsight), sales ops tools (e.g., Fullcast/Anaplan/Adaptive), ops execution, RPA automation, sales policies, enterprise data management and analytics, shared services, and more.
The Opportunity:
Datadog is seeking a senior GTM strategy and operations leader to scale our business 10x over the next few years as the global head of our Central GTM Operations Team. The leader will define the future of central operations for Datadog, building and leading multiple teams critical to our future business success.
We are looking for a dynamic and bold leader to challenge the status quo and help us achieve material incremental revenue while improving productivity and day-to-day experiences through a focus on simplicity and scale. The successful candidate will innovate upon our existing foundational operations and proactively introduce new best-practice capabilities to set up the entire company for long-term success. This leader will outline and deliver the strategy across our GTM operational roadmap, including priorities around innovating via automation, centralizing transactional work and analytics via shared services, innovating streamlined enterprise technologies including data management, redesigning global ROE, standardizing revenue ops processes, and designing next-level global sales tools design in a hyper growth company. The role will have regular interactions with our C-suite and regional leadership with constant collaboration across sales, GTM strategy, customer success, marketing, sales enablement, systems, and more.
You Will:
- Outline and own GTM operations scaling strategy end-to-end
- Gain executive alignment and funding for your strategy and vision
- Build and lead multiple teams to design and execute global transformation across vital initiatives, processes, and tools
- Bring world-class innovation to drive material and measurable impact across the field
- Inspire a team of direct reports to accomplish amazing things while leaving them better than you found them through a focus on growth mindset
- Proactively identify new opportunities to improve the daily experience for all of the GTM org and make it easier to win
- Seamlessly manage team to execute day-to-day GTM operations vital for business continuity
- Oversee GTM strategy and operations globally for overlay teams such as channels and alliances
You bring:
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of relevant experience in GTM strategy and operations, prior management consulting experience a plus
- 3+ years of people management experience
- History of building exceptional GTM operations teams with ownership for driving 10x ops scaling strategy and successful execution within a couple of years
- Success collaborating across teams and regions to achieve standardization and drive enablement across the field (pull vs. push strategies to help reps more effectively sell)
- Strong planning, project management, prioritization, and organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to zoom out and be 80/20 where needed
- Significant experience using a hypothesis and data-driven approach to problem solving and persuading executives around a case for change
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while having some fun and rolling up sleeves at the same time

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $178,000 - $261,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
