This role will be accountable for defining, developing and executing the 3PL fulfillment and logistics strategy to help get our hardware products to our customers.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Work with key strategic stakeholder teams to define, source, develop, implement and manage all 3PL needs for Toast, including domestic and international 3PL fulfillment, storage, overflow/ spike capacity, returns, repair, etc.
- Lead vendor selection and contract negotiations, including 3PL pricing, levels of service and inventory asset management requirements.
- Be the primary liaison between Toast and the 3PL network partners to ensure the 3PLs are meeting the Toast daily/weekly performance management expectations and metrics, including receiving/ shipping SLAs, inventory control and cost metrics.
- Drive strategic reviews and analysis with 3PL to understand capacity & financial opportunities and risks
- Build and manage a small team that is accountable for 3PL management
- Work with partner teams to define order-to-cash cycles (O2C) and procure-to-pay cycles (P2P) and ensure design of the fulfillment and logistics network optimizes for both
- Define and facilitate the continuous improvement processes at the 3PL and ensure that the right resourcing and action plans are in place for Toast’s success.
- Be an expert in the 3PLs WMS and align with Toast IT & BI teams to implement reporting, systems rules, workflows, etc.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 7+ years of relevant work experience within Fulfillment, 3PL management and complex supply chains
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems implementation and management
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Action-oriented, "can do" attitude with a proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization
- Results oriented leader with strong motivational skills, team building & decision making capabilities
- High level of integrity with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- High energy and motivation to achieve results, and willingness to be independently entrepreneurial and a self-starter
