Customer Advocacy at Drift
Part of the broader Product Marketing team, the function of Customer Advocacy is to leverage our happiest customers to create customer evidence and reference points that support our sales processes. The Customer Advocate Associate will help manage our customer advocacy program; engaging, nurturing, and activating customer advocates to differentiate Drift from the competition and highlight the successes and experiences of our customers.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Customer Advocacy. You will be responsible for developing strategies to transform customers into evangelists and providing deal support to the Sales organization through customer:prospect reference calls and driving software reviews on third-party sites. Cross-functional collaboration is key, and you will align with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive innovation and activation across the customer journey

You know how to engage and motivate advocates and you have the communication skills to act as a liaison between customers and the rest of the business. Creating measurable outcomes by impacting pipeline is important to you, and above all, you strive to create an incredible experience for our customers.
What you’ll be doing on the team:
- Work closely with the Sales organization to fulfill incoming customer reference requests and track outcomes
- Drive and report on review activity across software review platforms; keep review platform up to date with product messaging and functionality
- Develop methods of sourcing customer advocates from across the customer lifecycle
- Build processes to support regular customer outreach, advocate nurturing, and advocate participation
- Help track, report, and prove efficacy of the customer advocacy program
- Work cross-functionally to develop internal campaigns that drive Sales and Customer Success participation in advocacy program
- Fulfill customer gifts and rewards for advocacy activities
- Help drive sales wins through development and support of customer referral program
- Support Customer Advisory Board program as we expand regionally
What skills you will bring to the job:
- 1+ years experience in a marketing
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- A drive to understand our internal and external technology landscape to hold meaningful conversations with customers
- Experience developing relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Experience collaborating cross-departmentally to achieve results
- An appetite to prove outcomes over activities
- SaaS marketing experience preferred
