The Facilities Team at InterSystems is a dynamic department that handles requests and maintenance across the entire company. We are currently searching for a tenured and proactive individual to join the group to help coordinate daily efforts.

The Facilities Porter reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor and assists the Facilities Department with cleaning operations of over 200,000ft² of commercial Class A office space as it relates to the office COVID-19 Cleaning Procedures. 

Responsibilities:

• Wiping down all high touch surfaces with an EPA registered cleaner
• Dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture, fixtures, and fittings as required
• Applying necessary chemicals and solvents to surfaces in order to easily and effectively remove stain and dirt
• Complying with all safety policies and procedures that are related to carrying out cleaning tasks
• Carrying out cleaning duties with the aid of necessary equipment
• Carefully handling and operating all cleaning machinery according to protocol
• Ensuring the efficient operation of building freight elevators while also complying and adhering strictly to weight regulations
• Identifying and reporting all safety equipment maintenance issues to the Facilities Supervisor
• Completing the daily COVID cleaning checklist.
• Performing daily inspections to ensure a safe, clean, productive work environment.
• Performing inventory of COVID supplies and assisting in maintaining the inventory.
• Assisting with Security & Fire/Life safety programs.
• Other assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Adequate experience in rendering commercial cleaning services to customers, clients, or organizations
• Physically able to perform the duties of a commercial cleaner including walking, bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting moderately heavy items.
• Good time management and self-management and organizational skills which enable the cleaner to maintain his or her composure and carry out his or her cleaning and maintenance duty on time
• Ability to read and understand a Safety Data Sheet.
