In accordance with state notarial laws and regulations and contractual requirements, Notarize is obliged to perform an initial and ongoing review of all notaries that utilize our platform. These checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory requirements and the Notarize’s internal policies by our Compliance Specialists. Our Compliance Specialists are talented, highly motivated individuals who thrive in a team atmosphere and bring enthusiasm and a “Can-do” attitude to a fast-paced, engaging work environment.

As our Compliance Specialist, you will:

  • Act as a liaison for Notarize and the Notagig contractors on the platform
  • Contact notaries to ensure the accuracy of compliance documentation
  • Answer concerns from Notaries as it relates to their onboarding and ongoing compliance documentation
  • Research client issues, provide a summary of issues to Director of compliance and assist with remediation
  • Perform all assigned quality control and testing in compliance with notarial laws and notarize standards
  • Work with key legal and business contacts to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Summarizes findings and audit recommendations and tracks leadership responses
  • Research client issues, provide a summary of issues to Director of compliance and assist with remediation
  • Work closely with internal and external contacts to clear issues 
  • Maintain an onboarding queue and a closing request email box or other helpdesk technology

What we're looking for:

  • 1-2 years of Notary experience 
  • Great attention to detail and organizations skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office and Google suite
  • Ability to learn new company-specific software programs
  • Experience researching problems, digging deep and finding solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well independently, within a team and cross-functionally, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to display professionalism in communication and interaction with internal and external clients

Position logistics:

  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) hourly roll
  • Starting salary $21-$25/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Overtime is not to be expected but may be required
  • Must be able to work a planned, rotating schedule (8:00am-5:00pm, 9:30am - 6:30pm, or 11:00am- 8:00pm)
  • Must be able to work one Saturday per month
