OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

The Compliance Curriculum Manager is responsible for defining the structure and subject matter coverage of Skillsoft Compliance courses. This role is key in driving instructional design strategies and processes in support of business initiatives to deliver compliance training using innovative design and development treatments. The Compliance Curriculum Manager will also liaise with internal and external teams to define instructional strategy and appropriate subject matter for inclusion in training courses that are focused on Legal Compliance and Environmental, Safety, and Health Compliance subject areas. This role is also responsible for ensuring that course content is focused appropriately for the target audience, covers the regulatory and safety requirements as outlined by the SME, and meets Skillsoft IP creation standards. Additional duties include overseeing and mentoring internal and external individuals who perform course planning and script writing for compliance course content, and providing specific feedback to ensure that content deliverables align with the requirements and specifications of Skillsoft's compliance product library.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Compliance Curriculum Manager, in collaboration with the Director of IP Creation and the Compliance Solutions Product Management teams, directs the instructional approach and ensures the subject matter accuracy of the Compliance product line with a keen focus on delivering innovative, high-quality compliance courses in accordance with agreed schedules. This role requires engaging with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure the content is correct and meets regulatory expectations as well as overseeing and supporting internal and external planning and writing teams to ensure that legal and safety regulatory material is transformed into engaging, compliance training that is technically accurate, instructionally sound, and relatable to employees at all levels.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· A Bachelor's degree in an instructional design discipline, with a focus on the design, development, and evaluation of training materials, or proven relevant industry experience managing a curriculum as stated in the job description

· Relevant extensive experience in compliance subject areas; or a degree in business, accounting, or human resources; or a minimum of five years' professional experience as an attorney, paralegal, or safety professional in a compliance-related role

· Minimum five years' experience in developing and/or delivering training content, particularly online compliance training, within a corporate environment

· Proficiency distilling and converting highly technical and legal information into relevant curriculum and training plans that meets the goals and objectives of the content, using easy-to-understand language for the layperson

· Proficiency understanding the relationship and importance of visuals in delivering instructional messages

· Proficiency working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, production environment

· Proficiency editing and proofreading the technical and creative writing of others

· Experience working on virtual teams and/or with remote partners highly desirable

· Participation in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions is expected, in addition to performing other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned
