Position Summary

 

Netcracker Technology is looking to hire an Associate IT Engineer to join our growing company! This is a great opportunity for a recent, or soon to be college graduate whose passionate about technology and looking to launch their career in IT.

 

This position will be based out of our global headquarters in Waltham, MA and will be part of our Corporate IT department, supporting our newly built and state of the art Executive Business Center. You'll also travel both domestic and internationally, to support our field offices.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic account processing requests (Exchange and Active Directory):Disabling
  • Enabling
  • Removal algorithms
  • Managing IT Resources on ERP
  • Password policy understanding
  • Corporate IP telephone services (extensions, PINs)
  • Conferencing services (Meet-Me conference, Zoom)
  • Corporate Equipment (new-hires, upgrade requests, additional equipment requests, repair, Cisco IP phones requests, lost and damaged equipment reports, decommissioning)
  • Maintain access permissions and be able to resolve any L1 or L2 ticket
  • Access granting: VPN, multiple VPN connections, servers
  • MS Exchange management:
  • Distribution groups (create/modify/delete/change members/owners, “send as” rights)
  • User Mailbox (forward, auto-reply, full access permissions, mail recipient limit, mobile devices authorization, delivery reports, voice mailbox)
  • Corporate network understanding and troubleshooting (Wi-Fi authorization, Wi-Fi network types used in the offices, LAN)
  • Software management and troubleshooting (Anti-virus software, installation of shared software, MS Visio, MS Project, Skype for Business other additional software)
  • Authentication for IP phones, switches and workstations
  • SharePoint services: structure, new site creation, access providing.
  • Monitoring of servers and services:
  • Daily inspection
  • Icinga
  • WiFi networks
  • JIRA systems support
  • GMS domain
  • FTP server support

Skills & Experience

  • 6m - 2 years of corporate IT experience.
  • Strong customer facing experience including interacting with executives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international (10-15% annually)
  • Assigning access cards
  • Tracking corporate laptop inventory
  • Corporate cell phones. Inventory, logistic, repair, troubleshooting. Strong understanding of AT&T plans and features is highly preferred.
  • Re-imaging Laptops
  • Cisco IP Phones configuration and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of
  • Video conferences 
  • Audio Conferences 
  • A/V infrastructure
  • Printers
  • Be able to clean, repair and upgrade laptops, phones, servers
  • Be able to substitute local data center engineer in routine tasks and provide basic support for requests, related to this DC
  • Employee should demonstrate basic knowledge in equipment logistics (i.e. customs laws, countries specific, airlines baggage limitations and restrictions, etc.) Should be able to work with the list of travelers, and manage “delivery with the person” logistic.
  • Provide after hours, before hours and weekend local support by request
  • Provide basic support for 3-5 IT projects

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience required)
