 The role

We’re looking for an ambitious and versatile VP of Marketing to accelerate our US business development efforts. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership for the company by working with other members of Leadership Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.This role impacts every stage of the customer journey, from building awareness of Salary Finance in the US, to driving uptake within client organizations through employee-engagement marketing.

The VP of Marketing’s primary focus will be on developing and executing strategies for lead generation across multiple B2B channels. The secondary objective is to continue to develop and execute highly engaging B2C communications to drive take up of our products. Success in the role requires an ability to work hands-on across several key functional areas:

  • Content
    • Oversee the entire content life cycle, from idea generation to production and distribution.
    • Maintain an editorial calendar of articles, white papers, webinars, case studies covering relevant topics in financial wellness and employee engagement.
    • Lead content production by acting as head content writer while leveraging a network of freelance writers and designers.
    • Build relationships with influencers, analysts, partners and thought leaders to develop and promote Salary Finance content.
    • Track data to demonstrate the value of content across the customer journey.
  • Events
    • Identify speaking and attendance opportunities that support Salary Finance’s customer acquisition targets.
    • Plan and execute Salary Finance events including programming, collateral, driving attendance and follow up.
    • Develop presentations for audiences of prospective customers and partners.
    • Manage pre- and post-event communication to nurture leads into sales ready opportunities.
  • PR
    • Develop and execute a PR strategy.
    • Work with PR agencies to maximize the impact of Salary Finance announcements and thought leadership.
    • Work with PR agencies to create a content calendar of PR activity that will increase awareness and consideration.
    • Identify what content is required to create stories and media interest.
    • Create advertorials in trade press to drive awareness and lead generation.
  • SEO and Digital Presence
    • Work with Salary Finance’s UK-based marketing team to optimize our search and social presence.
    • Scale paid digital acquisition through targeted experiments across search, display, and social channels.
    • Ensure that Salary Finance’s website reflects US brand and voice and effectively converts prospects into leads.
    • Create robust nurture flows to convert website visitors into engaged prospects.
  • Performance Marketing
    • Develop and execute marketing lead creation content campaigns and programs (experience with HubSpot or Magenta is a key requisite).
    • Develop and execute an integrated marketing lead generation strategy, creating content that will drive lead generation.
    • Create robust nurture flows to convert website visitors into engaged prospects.
    • Create LinkedIn campaigns to generate leads.
    • Identify and work together with ABMs to generate leads.
    • Identify alternate sources of lead generation, webinars, advertorials.
    • Maximize lead generation whilst also decreasing lead acquisition costs.
  • Sales and Client Success Enablement
    • Produce compelling collateral that helps the Sales Team tell the Salary Finance story and win opportunities.
    • Drive take up at client organizations with employee-facing communications that showcases how Salary Finance can help individuals reach their financial goals.
    • Optimize customer facing communications that would drive sales and engagement.
