Your Mission
Reporting directly to our Chief Business Officer, the Vice President Marketing & Communications has overall responsibility for product marketing and communications strategies as well as corporate communications as we define our brand identity as an organisation at the crossover between a Next-Generation SaaS Platform built around a highly scientific and clinical genomic data set.
The goal is to support the company’s high growth expectations, as the company expands deeper and more broadly into global markets.
The VP, Marketing and Communications leads a team responsible for product marketing, scientific communications, digital marketing, events and corporate communications. Your team will collaborate closely with other functions, including Product Management, Sales, Medical and Scientific Affairs and the CEO Office to ensure consistent development and implementation of product strategies, brand vision, key messaging, and public relations across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and implement effective product marketing and communications strategies and tactics that will engage target audiences and spread the message about the company and products
- Accountable for corporate communications department that owns external communication of corporate brand and reputation to media, customers and partners, in close alignment with Investors Relations
- Provides strategic alignment across the Product Communications and Corporate Communications departments and ensures optimal use and consistency across all communication channels.
- Leads product marketing and scientific communications responsible for the development and production of all marketing and advertising materials, leaning on your experience to encourage creative marketing strategies and approaches to differentiate SOPHiA GENETICS in a crowded healthcare space
- Lead a digital marketing team responsible for maintaining the company website, SEO metrics and best practice, managing marketing automation and lead generation tool in collaboration with Sales Ops
- Leads Corporate Communications team that builds and maintains relationships with key media relations stakeholders including journalists, bloggers, industry associations and news outlets
Requirements
Your background:
- You’ll have strong working exposure (10+ Years) driving product marketing and communication strategies.
- Ideally, you'll have industry experience of both digital / technology (Software, SaaS, Platforms, IoT) and Scientific/Medical (Pharma, Diagnostics, BioPharma, Healthtech) with a product launches on a global basis across both fields.
- You’ll need to be comfortable in a rapid change, agile and ambiguous environment, with experience of leading and managing teams internationally including Product Marketing, Corporate Communications and Scientific Communications.
- As we continue to scale-up and drive organizational maturity a solutions-focused mindset where you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves is absolutely critical.
- In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis, as well as a solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
