The Senior Manager of SEO will drive the organic search audience development strategy for all SmarterTravel sites, as well as advise on search engine optimization opportunities for Paid Search traffic. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Traffic Acquisition, the SEO Sr. Manager will guide SEO strategy, execution, and analysis, to include:
- Pro-actively identifying growth opportunities in core areas such as site infrastructure, keyword selection, or on-page factors optimization and present to the Product, Content, and Marketing teams.
- Working with other departments (Editorial, Product, Engineering, etc) to provide guidance from an organic search perspective, to support SEO strategies and best practices.
- Performing granular traffic and conversion analyses across multiple sites and global markets to gain insight into keyword and landing page performance.
- Writing specification documents and designing experiments to test new strategies and opportunities for growth.
- Analyzing results and managing implementation of wins on site.
- Monitoring daily performance metrics to understand organic search performance across multiple brands and global sites.
- Identifying and analyzing competitor techniques, as well as benchmarking our performance against competitors.
- Assessing and understanding each market’s needs related to Search, and communicating them to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Spear-heading knowledge-growth of SEO best practices within the company.
- Collaborate with the broader TripAdvisor Media Group SEO team to learn in-house tools and test wins from other business units
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree (preferred in quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science/engineering).
- 5+ years of in-house SEO work experience with an industry leading website, including 2+ years of experience managing an SEO team.
- Advanced skill with Excel required.
- Exposure to SQL, HIVE, or other coding languages strongly desired.
- Statistical background is a plus.
- Demonstrable track record of business results through SEO.
- Player-coach mentality – this person will initially be an individual contributor, however, if successful in demonstrating opportunity in SEO for additional team growth, the role may evolve to become a team lead.
