Senior Search Specialist
Job Description Summary
Mimecast is looking for an Sr. Search Marketing Specialist to be based in Lexington, MA, bringing experience in developing a successful search strategy for B2B websites. This position requires being proficient with paid search marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO); organic search strategy, content optimization, keyword research and link-building. Reporting to the Director, Demand Generation, you will be part of a global team including: demand gen, web, content and product marketing organized to drive traffic, conversions and revenue. We are looking for a passionate search marketer with extensive background in strategic, technical and analytical SEM/SEO and data-driven marketing.

SEM
- Own SEM channel performance - research, forecasting, planning, execution and analysis.
- Plan, develop and implement our global SEM strategy for both Google and Bing in collaboration with regional leads to enhance their demand generation campaigns.
- Ability to own campaigns from the keyword planning stage, to being fully published, tracked and optimized.
- Build, optimize, measure and report regularly on campaign performance directly from SEM platforms.
- Collect and analyze data, research competitors and identify trends to achieve maximum ROI for paid search campaigns globally.
SEO
- Assist in driving SEO programs, including technical, content and local SEO in partnership with content, digital marketing, product marketing and regional marketing leads.
- Evaluate keyword rankings and traffic trends to improve organic search engine performance
- Implement on-page SEO best practices through improving site architecture and internal linking and making technical recommendations.
- Assist in creating dashboards and reports and attribution models that explain how our organic traffic turns into leads, opportunities and revenue growth.
Additional Responsibilities
- Understand SEO, SEM and website traffic patterns and data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AdWords, Microsoft/Bing Ads and other analytical software to optimize strategy and tactics for maximum effectiveness.
- Collaborate with creative and content teams in optimization process for content, landing pages and ads working with the product and campaign management teams, creative, and content teams to build messaging, imagery and experiences that resonate with our personas and convert.
- Stay up to date with the latest Google, AdWords, SEO, SEM and digital marketing trends, including ad rank, quality score, relevance, and other factors and best practices.

- BA/BS degree marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven working experience in SEO, SEM, digital marketing and conversion rate optimization for global organization
- Experience with keyword research and competitive insight tools.
- Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor/SEMRush/BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, MOZ and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics etc.)
- Experience measuring and making recommendations using performance measurement tools and metrics.
