What we do at Detectify

Hackers are our allies - that probably isn’t something you would hear everyday but at Detectify, this is our approach to Internet security.  Built on knowledge crowdsourced from our network of over 200 ethical hackers, Detectify offers a web application security scanner that automates hacker attacks, and finds vulnerabilities, to help businesses stay safe.

Our founders and Detectify Crowdsource hackers are among the best ethical hackers in the world - having hacked tech giants such as Google, Facebook, or Dropbox - and aim to share their findings with the rest of the world in order to make the Internet a safer place.

In November 2019, Detectify secured 21 million EUR in a Series B round to continue building teams with world-class talent. We are looking for passionate and driven colleagues to hop onboard, contribute to the company culture and to make the Internet more secure.

The Marketing Team

Our Marketing department consists of a cross-functional team ranging from content marketing, ethical hacking research, web editing, performance marketing, BI, events, and graphic design. Now, we are looking to grow our Marketing team to achieve aggressive business goals. Together, you will spread the word about Detectify in our target markets and build a global brand!

What you’ll get to do

Our Senior Marketing Manager will be our first Marketing team member based in Boston! You/They will be responsible for coordinating different marketing projects and programs for a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The Senior Marketing Manager must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

You will get to:

• Develop and execute our US marketing strategy to achieve key business results, both long and short term
• Develop high quality sales enablement material for our US Sales team 
• Partner with our Event Manager to identify new conferences, trade shows, and other events that drive new business; you will play an integral role in planning and representing Detectify online and offline
• Partner with our HR team on Employer Branding efforts to attract and engage talent and diverse talent in the US

Who you are

You likely have at least 8 years of experience both in-house and in an agency environment. You understand the Marketing landscape in the United States or have deep understanding of the security ecosystem. 

This means:

• At least 8+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably B2B 
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; MBA experience a plus
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficiency with collaboration tools

Bonus:

• Working knowledge of analytics tools (such as Google Analytics)
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools and best practices
• Previous experience working with design tools (such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign) is a plus
