The Toast Customer Marketing team is responsible for driving advocacy, revenue, and retention from our restaurant customer base. In this role, you will develop the Customer Marketing strategy for Toast Payments, a core part of Toast’s business that facilitates restaurants with payment processing and powers our customers with insights. In addition, you will support the Toast card issuing business by developing the go-to-market plan to drive adoption and usage of the card. You will also explore working with a cross-functional team to develop a renewal motion to re-price customers based on the existing product mix and credit card pricing. You will execute multi-channel communications to drive awareness that includes in-product messaging, email, social, and more. This is a high-impact role that will offer substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to drive long-term shareholder value.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager for FinTech, the payments team, and product leaders to develop and execute strategic and operational plans that drive portfolio growth and retention.
- Develop the go-to-market plan including segments, channel mix, messaging, and success metrics. Execute the campaign once live and analyze results to inform future optimization strategies.
- Work with business intelligence and other customer communications channel owners to measure the qualitative and quantitative impact with key cross-functional stakeholders. Provide recommendations on future strategies based on past results and feedback.
- Enable internal customer-facing teams on pricing and other FinTech product launches to the installed base. This includes product knowledge transfer, marketing collateral, and talk tracks.
- Build customer testimonial library to support FinTech including case studies, power quotes, and videos (when necessary).

- Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment that can span customer marketing, relationship management and operational roles.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with strategy development, campaign execution and optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to build strong, compelling customer messaging across multiple channels to drive action.

- Experience with Salesforce, SQL, and Looker.
- Financial Services, FinTech, or other ancillary industry experience.
