Datawire builds Ambassador, the leading Kubernetes-native API Gateway. Built on Envoy Proxy, Ambassador is used by thousands of organizations including Microsoft, NVidia, and Ticketmaster. 

We’re redefining how organizations build and manage their infrastructure, and are looking for an exceptional product marketer to help educate our users on our product and approach. You’ll figure out how to shape and position a new category, influence our product roadmap, and work closely with our digital marketing team to drive growth.
This is a great expansion role on our marketing team.

Note: This position can be remote but will need to be available during East Coast [Eastern Time Zone] work hours to work with sales, support, and marketing teams.


Responsibilities

  • Own and develop product positioning and messaging
  • Lead go-to-market efforts to bring new features and products to market
  • Refine and evolve our core value proposition
  • Assess the market landscape and conduct competitive analysis
  • Design and drive product launches 
  • Work with digital marketing to communicate product messaging and positioning
  • Drive and manage sales enablement and content strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering to give customer feedback
  • Bridge the gap between technical features and business value

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency through work experience or field of study in technical B2B products in one of the following domains: networking, cloud infrastructure, security, virtualization, computer infrastructure. You enjoy highly technical products.
  • You are a communicator and storyteller using multiple formats
  • You’re a creative and positive self-starter that brings action-oriented, results-driven approaches to the table. We are an entrepreneurial company and this is a high profile role.
  • Demonstrated results in product marketing or a strong desire to transition into a technical product marketing role from a sales engineering, product management or engineering role. Prior successful candidates range from sales engineers to recent grads with advanced degrees (e.g. MBA). 
  • Interest or experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
