Job Overview:

This position is responsible for providing product marketing leadership to ensure the success of CA Mainframe solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a product marketing expert providing support to the broader CA Mainframe marketing team.

  • Formulate value propositions and develop presentations, collateral, and sales tools for select mainframe products
  • Drive account-based marketing tactics (digital, social, and face-to-face)
  • Guide product management professionals on the creation of technical videos and content
  • Gather and analyze product performance, operational metrics, and win/loss analysis based on data from business dashboards (e.g., Qlik, Marketo, PowerBI, SFDC)
  • Structure quantitative analysis in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) and drive follow up actions
  • Provide support to the field and channels based on marketing plans
  • Continually learn about the IT industry and CA portfolio
  • Business travel of approximately 10 percent yearly is expected for this position.

 

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a business, marketing, or technology field.

 

Work Experience:

2-5 years of experience in product marketing, digital marketing, marketing analytics in a technical industry. B2B experience is preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Understands business concepts and can refine and then resolve ambiguous problems or issues.
  • Ability to effectively convey information to a wide variety of internal audiences and to customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills – structuring data in Microsoft Excel obtained from business repositories, drawing conclusions, and formulating action items.
  • Participates well in teams and uses basic skills to influence team members.
  • Ability to negotiate at a cross-functional level; is willing to give and receive feedback.
  • Shows initiative and demonstrates leadership commensurate with the scope of their responsibilities.
