Building Engines is looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist to join our progressive digital marketing team in Boston and make a direct contribution to our continued rapid growth as part of a very productive and progressive team. The Marketing Operations Specialist will oversee a number of applications with a priority emphasis on Marketo and SalesForce to support Building Engines’ demand and lead generation strategies. The role will focus on marketing automation execution across all channels and drive associated processes as well as other programs connected to the effort.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the primary owner of the Marketo platform and maintain program sync and database integrity between each
  • Work with the content and lead gen team members to execute and deliver all marketing campaigns through Marketo and Constant Contact
  • Analyze results to improve and refine existing processes and programs
  • Continuously study best practices and apply learning to existing processes
  • Execute and optimize all lead generation, lead/task assignment, scoring and lead nurturing activities through Marketo
  • Maintain, enhance and optimize our lead management process in coordination with the sales and marketing team leads
  • Work closely with all marketing and sales team members to help develop and refine lead scoring models to drive conversions along each stage of the marketing/sales funnel
  • Ensure best-practice utilization across all marketing programs and campaigns
  • Work with team to maintain database health - ensure data cleanliness & completeness leveraging tools already connected to Salesforce and Marketo
  • Manage and provide ongoing metrics in support of marketing and lead gen program effectiveness
  • Produce, manage, publish, and update weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and marketing dashboards on all marketing activities and performance benchmark targets 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree
  • 1+ years as part of a digital content marketing team
  • 1+ year hands-on experience working with marketing automation and CRM tools; ideally Marketo and SalesForce
  • Demonstrable basic understanding of sales, marketing / sales interactions and co-dependencies
  • Expertise in analytics and reporting. Experience distilling data to executive level insights and dashboards
  • Strong understanding of and work experience with Excel
  • Any basic Web skills such as HTML/XML, or creative/design experience, is a plus
  • Interest in learning Evergage
