About the Marketing Manager Position

Verndale has a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the CMO, the qualified candidate will work with the marketing & sales departments and internal stakeholders. H/she will lead Verndale Marketing Operations by producing and managing all content for Verndale.com and print production; managing both Verndale sponsored and industry/trade show events and working closely with our Sales Team to maximize their efforts. 

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead partner marketing efforts and coordination of routine calls and joint campaign planning
  • Oversee all vendor and contractor relationships to ensure brand consistency across various touch points
  • Organize all brand assets for various uses: event promotion, partner relations, print materials, web listings, etc.
  • Build and report weekly on Verndale’s marketing communication calendar which details upcoming content pieces, brand and email campaigns, events, etc.
  • Curate and manage daily content updates to Verndale’s NECXT mobile app
  • Handle press inquiries. occasional pitching to reporters, and award submissions when necessary
  • Be an effective gatekeeper to the CMO
  • Manage the production and distribution of all content for Verndale.com and print production, including posting blog posts, videos, white papers, etc. This includes the writing of original content that adhere to SEO best practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop content within key practices areas and themes
  • Schedule and manage all logistics required for quarterly video shoots to support Verndale’s video series
  • Develop and manage social content across Verndale’s brand channels
  • Explore and develop new ideas for additional content based on industry trends and events
  • Provide sales support in terms of content creation, sharing new client announcements via internal systems, lead list management and retrieval from event contacts and external vendors, and campaign acceleration and creation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop client case studies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5 + years industry experience
  • Content development experience including: writing blog posts, collateral, social media content, ad, email and landing page copy; basic design;
  • Experience writing SEO-friendly content
  •  Understanding of the key elements to grow organic traffic
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is a plus
  • Proven ability to identify key industry influencers, establish new (and maintain existing) relationships
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation/cleanup
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies such as marketing automation, CRM, content management, BI, etc.
