Hometap is looking for an experienced marketer to own and drive our lifecycle marketing strategy and channels, including email, SMS and chat. This person will play a critical role in driving the growth of Hometap by acquiring and nurturing homeowner leads in various stages of our funnel, as well engaging with our invested homeowners and trying to make them advocates for Hometap.


The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to driving our targeted results. They’ll have a knack for understanding our customer lifecycle, structuring smart tests, and optimizing for what’s performing best. In addition, they’ll be on the pulse of the latest and greatest thinking around lifecycle marketing and constantly be thinking about how we can make the most out of every impression, email capture, and customer interaction. 

What you’ll do:

  • Own and drive our lifecycle marketing strategy and channels, including but not limited to email, SMS and chat
  • Develop lifecycle strategies from initial engagement to retention and referral, leveraging personalization, behavioral and transactional triggers
  • Drive the testing strategy (creative, cadence, timing, segmentation, etc.) for these channels from ideation through execution
  • Analyze and monitor channel and campaign performance, identify trends, and make changes to optimize performance
  • Partner with and leverage internal teams to bring campaigns to life and support the development of your programs, including our copywriter, graphic designers, Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Sales 
  • Cultivate relationships with existing vendors and agencies and work alongside our Marketing Operations team to evaluate, select, and manage new vendors, platforms, and agencies
  • Systematically keep tabs on what our competitors are doing and what we might be able to learn from them

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a marketing role, ideally managing lifecycle programs in a B2C tech-enabled business
  • Proven track record of achievement in delivering against goals and driving meaningful impact
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort in a data-driven business environment; strong Excel skills are a must!
  • Can develop creative/copy tests with a mindset of optimizing our creative/copy for ongoing performance improvement vs. 1-offs
  • Experience with customer segmentation and personalization 
  • Experience with marketing automation software
  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset and bias towards execution
  • Ability to multitask, and feels comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and is not afraid to pivot

Our offices are located in the Back Bay neighborhood, home of Boston's tallest skyscrapers, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shopping, cafes and hotels. The office is easily accessible for commuters outside of the city as well as those flying in from elsewhere.
