POSITION SUMMARY

MassMutual’s direct to consumer group (“MM DTC”) is a part of Haven Life, an insurtech innovator at MassMutual. As a member of MassMutual Direct-to-Consumer (“MM DTC”) Marketing team, you will be responsible for translating business questions into analytical hypotheses, navigating complex data environments and generating actionable recommendations to help shape MM DTC’s strategic direction as well as day-to-day decision-making throughout the entire customer lifecycle – including marketing, call center sales & eCommerce, product development, customer engagement and claims. You will also have the opportunity to enhance MM DTC Marketing’s data ecosystem. You will be working with business stakeholders in Haven Life and the MassMutual Data Science organizations to deliver the results via data and analytical tools.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Partnering with business stakeholders, identify key business questions which can be answered through data to drive growth and profitability

  • Independently execute analyses via advanced analytics tools such as SQL and R; must be able to develop high-quality complex queries

  • Build and enhance self-service reports to empower the MM DTC Marketing team

  • Synthesize large amounts of information to key messages on presentation-friendly media and advise senior leadership on strategy

  • Deliver concise, clear and actionable presentations to decision-makers

  • Participate in process design and enhancement to drive higher efficiency and data quality

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work full-time from our downtown Boston office location

  • College degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of four years experience in Direct/Digital Marketing Analytics, Web Analytics or Customer Analytics.

  • Must be able to solve problems creatively; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and make logical choices when information is imperfect.

  • Expert in SQL and/or R programming; experience in Python a plus

  • Proficient in prototyping and developing reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • Intermediate to high proficiency in Google Analytics and/or Snowplow.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional groups; experience in an Agile environment a plus. 

  • Ability to partner effectively with enterprise centers of excellence, notably data science. 

  • Strong written & oral communication, and collaboration skills that enable clear and concise communication of data issues and analyses that can be understood by a broad audience

  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
