Social Advertising Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Social Advertising Manager to support our digital marketing efforts in our Boston, MA office. The role’s primary focus is the execution of large-scale social media buys through data-driven customer segments, advanced behavioral targets and tailored creative. Joining a team of platform experts who are in ad platforms every day, the role includes campaign set-up, day-to-day campaign management, monitoring bids/budgets/ad set performance, and optimizing against our target KPIs. The ideal candidate is relentless, data-driven, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role sits within our high-performing, metrics-driven performance marketing team that works collaboratively on strategies to drive new customer acquisition. We are looking for someone who is equally passionate about marketing technology, data analysis, platform function, audience segmentation, and creative strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze campaign performance, identify trends and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement at a daily cadence
- Blend creativity and analytical skills with a strong results-oriented, metrics-driven approach to problem solving and campaign management
- Leverage platform bid automation to drive direct response performance of new customer acquisition
- Partner with platform account management teams to drive campaign performance and ensure campaigns are leveraging the latest ad technology
- Use our Data Management Platform (DMP) to discover relevant audience segments and recommend tailored creative and landing page experiences for testing
- Execute structured A/B tests around creatives, audiences and bid strategies
- Partner with Marketing Analytics and Product teams to troubleshoot technical bugs or develop performance monitoring, reporting, or tracking needs
- Juggle multiple projects and prioritize time while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization without structured processes in place
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, economics, mathematics, finance or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Paid Social advertising
- Experience managing large-scale paid social e-commerce focused campaigns and executing social campaign testing
- Technical skills to manage social product ads and product feed health
- Strong understanding of major social platform algorithms, ad products, and optimization levers
- A relentless desire to monitor and optimize to performance objectives
- Ability to thrive in gray area and independently chart a course for execution
- Intermediate Excel skills (basic SQL skills a plus)
- Experience with mobile app ecosystem, including tracking in-app events, app analytics, campaign optimization, creative, and deep linking a plus
- Intermediate Google Analytics skills (or similar analytics platform)
