Summary
The Enterprise Loyalty Strategy team educates and advises restaurant clients looking to develop and optimize loyalty programs on their branded channels (think: the Potbelly app) as well as on Grubhub. We are looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of strategists responsible for engaging with these clients on various formats of loyalty consulting work. The ideal candidate for this role is methodical, data-focused and creative in how he or she approaches translating clients’ business goals into recommended loyalty strategies that drive results – and is able to coach his or her team to consistently do the same.
Some Challenges You’ll Tackle
- Balancing management and execution. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of strategists, but also responsible for acting as the lead strategist on key client projects. The balance is yours to strike – but prepare for 50-60% management and 40-50% execution up front.
- Re-envisioning the ways in which we work with clients. Today, the Enterprise Loyalty Strategy team works on various project formats – from fully scoped loyalty strategy projects to monthly retainers to hourly execution. You will need to be able to identify, double down on and staff around the highest-return initiatives while streamlining projects and tasks with less value-add.
- Maintaining our team’s reputation as the restaurant loyalty experts. Most enterprise restaurant brands have some form of loyalty program today. The space is commoditized and noisy, and ideas are a dime a dozen. Outstanding ideas that translate into meaningful growth across the four areas most important to restaurants (acquisition, activation, engagement, retention), though… those are the ideas that matter. Those are the ideas you’ll be responsible for presenting to everyone from the digital marketing managers to the CEOs and CFOs of our industry.
- Supporting Sales, Partnerships and Technical Brand Management as a subject matter expert. From participating in sales pitches to joining meetings with pre- and post-sale strategic clients, you will be responsible for educating our brands on loyalty best practices and product capabilities. To do this well, you’ll also need to be constantly evaluating our published best practices, and have a pulse on our product roadmap.
You Should Have
- Minimum 2 years management experience on a strategy or marketing team.
- Outstanding ability to translate data into actionable insights for clients.
- Passion for helping brands better understand and influence customer behavior.
- Experience with CRM, marketing automation platforms, and BI tools.
- Deep knowledge of loyalty programs across various industries – restaurant, retail, travel, etc.
- Prior restaurant experience a huge plus.
- Desire to grow and lead a high-performing team.
And Of Course, Perks!
- Flexible PTO. It’s true, no strings attached and all the time you need to recharge.
- Better Benefits. Get quality insurance, flex-spending accounts, retirement options and commuter perks.
- Free Food. Kitchens are stocked and free Grubhub each week.
- Stock Up. All of our employees are owners, in fact, they’re granted Restricted Stock Units, which means we’re all in it to win it.
- Casual Culture. Catch rays on the rooftop or get comfy on a couch and get to know your coworkers — because work, should be a place you want to be.
