Display Advertising Manager

The primary focus of this role is to create scalable display programs that leverage marketing technologies such as demand-side platforms (DSPs), advanced behavioral targeting via our ad platforms and DMP, and manage our dynamic creative optimization platform. The role also includes campaign set-up, day-to-day management, and tracking of campaign/channel performance.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role sits within our high-performing, metrics-driven customer acquisition team that works collaboratively across capabilities to drive channel growth. We are looking for someone who is equally passionate about marketing technology, data analysis and direct marketing to expand our display advertising efforts. You will need the right balance of marketing and technology experience, as well as business judgment and technical aptitude.
What you’ll do:
- Build successful display targeted acquisition campaigns from the ground up, including the configuration of audiences by leveraging 1st/3rd party data and automated bid strategies
- Analyze campaign performance, identify trends and proactively suggest opportunities for improvement as well as provide daily performance checks
- Optimize campaigns and adjust bids based on granular direct response measurement for new customer acquisition performance vs. media cost
- Structure A/B and multivariate tests around creatives, landing pages, and audience segments
- Work with Engineering and Product teams to troubleshoot technical bugs or issues with campaigns
- Juggle multiple projects and prioritize time while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
- Manage product/data feeds associated with paid media, ensuring their accuracy
- Manage fraud detection and display ad inventory brand safety
What you’ll need:
- 4+ years of experience in Display Advertising
- Hands-on analytical background and proficiency in Google Analytics
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field
- Strong examples of proficiency in digital media optimization, including structured testing, and analysis of channel interplay and incrementality
- Experience with display platforms including ad servers, exchanges, RTB bidders, DSPs, and DMPs
- Examples of direct self-management of large-scale display advertising campaigns
- Strong understanding of bidding algorithms and appropriate deployment use cases
- Ability to effectively adapt to real-time data and information and prioritize tasks according to business impact
- Advanced Excel skills, comfort level with data/analytics, and interest in learning more (e. g., Excel, SQL, etc.)
- Flexibility for periodic travel
