The Opportunity

This role is part of the Product Marketing Strategy group that is responsible for crafting clear and compelling stories, and comprehensive omni-channel marketing campaigns to drive product sales by increasing financial professional, partners, and client engagement. We are a highly collaborative team that supports marketing needs across all MassMutual product lines and distribution channels. We work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on attention-to-detail, agility and follow-through. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages development of product marketing strategy for a product line to drive sales results for the business

  • Participates in product development, product deployment, and product research to drive customer-centricity in our product roadmap

  • Develops core product collateral to easily communicate how we meet client and financial professional needs

  • Leads marketing center of excellence partners in key marketing planning activities including integrated marketing campaign development to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our go-to-market strategies

  • Engages distribution teams and business stakeholders for buy-in and input

  • Reviews marketing content to ensure alignment with marketing strategy

The Impact

As a Product Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive marketing campaigns to meet business objectives for protection products. This role contributes to the project planning for major life insurance initiatives, including participating in the product development and deployment process, and engaging marketing centers of excellence and stakeholders in marketing campaign development. You will assist with reviews of team content to ensure alignment with the product strategy and messaging. You will also have a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, financial services products, proven creative writing and communication skills, and the ability to build relationships and collaborate closely with business partners and stakeholders.

The Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Must be based in Boston, MA or Springfield MA

  • 8+ Years of experience marketing financial services products to advisors and consumers

  • Strong computer literacy skills including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, SharePoint and Outlook

  • Proven written communication skills, and creative content development experience

The Ideal Qualifications:

  • Deep level of understanding of the whole life insurance industry, product attributes and technical specifications in relation to competitive alternatives.

  • Ability work in a cross functional team and provide clear and concise content that drives engagement from those using our content

  • Great project management skills with the ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements

  • Experience with omni-channel marketing campaign development for B2B and B2C audiences

  • Experience with customer research, developing marketing strategies and participating in the product development process

  • Life and Health License

  • CLU, ChFC, CFP, or other advanced industry designations
