We are looking for driven, dynamic and technically inclined communicator to play a leadership role shaping and delivering internal communications to Vistaprint’s global technology team. Your goal is to support and accelerate Vistaprint’s success by ensuring our technology team members around the world understand, are motivated by, and act upon our strategy. You’ll be a huge part of our small and mighty team, working closely with our Chief Technology Officer and Technology Leadership Team. The work is varied, and you’ll be leading many and contributing to all of our communications, delivered through channels including but not limited to online, print, video, events and live presentations.

 

Your role will involve: 

  • Leading a wide variety of regular and one-off communications with specific audiences and/or Vistaprint-wide
  • Writing, distributing and measuring the impact of a broad range of written and visual communications
  • Advancing understanding of our strategy and how we're doing, within the technology organization and across Vistaprint
  • Leading the development and measurement of communications channels including but not limited to our intranet and knowledge base, digital signage, and Slack channels
  • Planning and developing content for live events
  • Building and maintaining relationships with a range of team members, including our founder and CEO

 

You will bring: 

  • Experience leading communications in a technology business and/or to technology audiences
  • A self-starting approach to your work
  • Strong curiosity to find stories within our engineering community and convey them authentically across a variety of channels, some nuanced towards technologists
  • A passion for technology and an excitement to experiment with new methods of communication to an engineering community
  • A track record of successful execution in a high impact fast moving internal communications role, either agency or in-house
  • Experience of improving existing channels and ways of working and identifying new ones to enhance communications effectiveness
  • The ability to deliver from idea, through execution to measurement, as an individual contributor but leaning on the support of our team, including creative support
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling, motivating communications for team members of all levels and in all geographies
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment
  • Networking skills, and the ability to use your relationships and curiosity to help unearth great communication opportunities

I have recently taken up a new role in Brand Activations, having worked in Marketing for two years at Vista. Remote-first removed so much pressure from the process. Asynchronous and remote work has also helped me remain in work while having a baby. Without remote-first, I would have felt more pressure to leave work to be the primary caregiver.

My favorite session of the week is the open office hours. On Thursdays, I set up a two hour meeting where I sit on our video call platform so my team can drop in and out whenever they want to is they need to have a chat with me.
