The Position: Director of Content Marketing
We’re seeking a Director of Content Marketing to oversee content initiatives and marketing campaign strategy across multiple channels and formats to drive awareness, engagement, and sales. Sitting within our Product Marketing organization, this individual will be an expert in all things content and marketing campaign strategy, with a deep understanding of buyer personas and their role in creating compelling content that resonates deeply with IT audiences. If your goal is to make your audience as big a fan of your content as they are of your product, you’re the right person for the job.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all content is on-message and on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search
- Define a content strategy and comprehensive roadmap that addresses the information needs of multiple personas across the buyer’s journey
- Work closely with product marketing to define our global campaign strategy and implement a content plan in support of quarterly integrated marketing campaigns
- Manage a content team; work closely with internal subject matter experts; and identify and manage external writers, as needed
- Create compelling content to support a variety of marketing initiatives, including demand generation, product launches, sales enablement and thought leadership
- Establish workflows and best practices for creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content
- Measure content effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improving the efficacy of our content marketing
- Keep the broader marketing team up-to-date with the latest trends in content marketing
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of content marketing or product marketing experience in B2B software
- Deep knowledge of enterprise IT markets (e.g. application development, mobile, cloud, PaaS)
- Superb writing and editing skills; experience creating content for multiple (technical) personas
- Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
- BA/BS degree required
- Digital marketing experience is a big plus
