PURPOSE:

The Predictive Index—the talent optimization leader—is an award-winning best place to work (Inc., Glassdoor, Boston Business Journal, The Boston Globe).

Our mission is “Better work, better world," and we take great pride in PI’s power to supercharge workplace relationships and culture to achieve the unthinkable. We’re our own best case study! You’ll be working toward a mission that inspires you, and you’ll be surrounded by fun, smart, driven people day in and day out.

There’s a reason more than 8,000 companies—including Nissan, Citizens Bank, Drift, Subway, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Docusign, and Omni Hotels—trust PI to help them hire top talent, design winning teams, and develop leaders at every level. Come discover how we empower our clients to solve their biggest challenges and make their business dreams come true.

POSITION:

If you’re fascinated by people, tech-savvy, and passionate about writing and editing, you won’t find a better opportunity than this one. You’ll be joining a growing team in a growing company that has massive aspirations for its content marketing. And you’ll be playing an integral role.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented content marketing writer with proven experience writing web copy. The content marketing writer will work under the managing editor on the content marketing team. The ideal candidate is an expert in AP Style and SEO, and has written and edited B2B content for human resources professionals or C-level executives. However, if you’re an incredible writer and editor, we are willing to train on AP Style and SEO.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Write search engine optimized blog posts, e-books, landing pages, emails, etc.
  • Paste blogs into Wordpress, including some light HTML and image selection.
  • Generate marketing leads (MLs) and marketing qualified leads (MQLs).
  • Edit copy for grammar, tone, organization, and SEO.
  • Complete marketing tasks (CTA creation, landing page creation, etc.) using tools like Pardot.
  • Analyze content performance via Google Analytics and Domo.

SHOULD YOU APPLY?

If you’ve got all the below skills, drop what you’re doing right now and reach out. If you’ve got some of these skills, we still want to hear from you!

  • 1+ years of experience as a writer and/or editor (college experience okay)
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress (Elementor is a plus!)
  • Understanding of content marketing and SEO best practices
  • Able to take initiative and work with little direction and supervision
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Enjoys working at a fast-pace with multiple weekly deadlines and competing priorities
  • Proactive: Takes ownership of projects and assigned client persona
  • Detail-oriented: You deliver clean copy and follow established processes to a tee

A cover letter and writing sample are required at the time of application.

Just as our employees are threads in the cultural fabric of PI, THREADS is our framework for understanding our core values.

Teamwork: Focus on the “we,” not the “me.”

Honesty: Follow your moral compass.

Reliability: Be someone others can count on.

Energy: Be balanced, be energized.

Action: Errors of action are better than errors of inaction. Be brave.

Drive: Own it.

Scope: Don't try to boil the ocean.

An Insider's view of The Predictive Index

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

I think The Predictive Index really puts its people first. My manager has been really supportive of my needs in and out of the office. I think having a manager that cares about me as a whole person makes me feel more fulfilled and energized to come to work.

Caraline

PI Ambassador/Office Coordinator

What does your typical day look like?

I'd say a good third of a "typical" day is spent meeting with people to make sure our team is building the right stuff and in the right way. Another sixth my day is spent interviewing or thinking about hiring and onboarding since we’re growing so fast. The last half of my day is hopefully spent programming! Building cool stuff is my favorite!

Stefan

Lead Software Engineer

How does the company support your career growth?

Career growth is at the center of this company. My manager appreciates when I have career conversations with him and proactively schedules a development meeting on a quarterly basis. We’re also growing quickly which is naturally creating opportunities for growth. Want proof? We’ve had 40 promotions in the last two years while having 115 employees!

Alex

Team Lead, Account Executives

What is your vision for the company?

Operations at PI enables all business units to empower members to maximize their creativity. I envision PI's growth to be powered by scalability, where systems and intelligence allow us to focus on high-value activities; where departments partner in successful cross-functional initiatives enabled by optimal automation.

Maribel

Senior Vice President, Operations

What’s the vibe like in the office?

It’s vibrant and full of energy with animated discussions every direction you turn. It may sound weird, but it feels like there is knowledge in the air you breathe. You learn something new every day just by interacting with the talented people you work with.

UX Researcher
