The Opportunity iZotope is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to create and edit customer-facing messaging for its award-winning products. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent the voice of iZotope and deliver exceptional content and copywriting across all public communication mediums, including the Learn section of iZotope.com, email campaigns, video scripts, and web copy. This opportunity is a full-time position based in our Cambridge, Massachusetts headquarters, but is open to remote employees working from New York City or Los Angeles, California. The Role Reporting directly to the Content Marketing Manager, the Content Marketing Specialist will be a key member of the Content Team, collaborating with various other teams to deliver compelling content and messaging that engage customers and partners. As an expert storyteller and audio professional, the Content Marketing Specialist will have a good understanding of the various iZotope customer types and be able to craft and edit copy that supports the company goals and brand.

Responsibilities

• Edit iZotope articles on mixing, mastering, and other audio production disciplines for technical accuracy, spelling/grammar, style and tone, and SEO best practices

• Work with freelance writers and in-house subject matter experts to write and edit compelling articles on audio topics in support of awareness and demand generation goals

• Review sound clips submitted with blogs for audio fidelity and educational value; provide necessary feedback to freelance writers for revision

• Generate compelling article topics on audio production that demonstrate the value of iZotope’s audio products and support the brand

• Work closely with the Content Marketing Manager and Email Marketing Manager to understand email creation needs and write conversion-oriented email copy

• Write product-oriented, conversion-oriented web copy

• Build and quality assure articles using Adobe Experience Manager to prepare for publication

• Work closely with the Design team to facilitate the creation of image assets for the Learn section of iZotope.com

• Support the Content Marketing Manager to create content performance reports using Google Analytics and Google Data Studio

• Write compelling, search-optimized copy for YouTube videos including, descriptions, closed captions, calls to action, and more

• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, deadlines, and the ability to multitask on various projects Professional Qualifications

• Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills, with high attention to detail and expert understanding of grammar, and a mastery of both long-form and short-form copywriting

• Experience with audio production, including knowledge of music production and mixing (experience with iZotope products a big plus)

• Ability to write with a consistent brand voice

• 1–3 years of content marketing experience

• Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver projects on-time and onmessage

• Experience with A/B testing, setting KPIs, and optimizing communications based on data-driven metrics. Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Data Studio is a plus.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with other stakeholders to help define the business needs and deliver on-time and on-message

• A passion for writing, marketing, and audio technology (being a musician is a big plus)

• SEO experience is a plus Personal Characteristics

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Content and Email Marketing teams to understand email creation needs and write conversion-driven email copy for campaigns, product launches, newsletters, nurture streams, and more
  • Work with Content and Product Marketing teams to define website copy needs and write copy that will turn site visitors into iZotope advocates
  • Edit blogs for grammatical and technical accuracy, using SEO best practices
  • Work with the Design team to help integrate messaging in ways that effectively promote our products and brands through email and web copy
  • Incorporate brand values, voice, and tone into copywriting so that it is consistent across all mediums
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Product Marketing, Product Management, and e-commerce teams, so that messaging is in line with overall goals
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, deadlines, and the ability to multitask on various projects

Professional Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of copywriting experience for an agency or consumer-based company
  • Experience writing copy for various mediums, especially email and web
  • A basic understanding of audio production (experience in music production or audio engineering is preferred)
  • Ability to write with a consistent brand voice
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills, with high attention to detail and expert understanding of grammar
  • An understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and experience applying SEO to web copy
  • Experience with A/B testing, setting KPIs, and optimizing communications based on data-driven metrics
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other stakeholders to help define the business needs and deliver on-time and on-message
  • A passion for writing and marketing (being a musician is a plus)
