About the role
As the Podcast Content Marketer, you will own the roadmap and execution of Drift’s podcast strategy. In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of Drifters and continue Drift’s work an industry-leading example of podcasting done right.
What You’ll Do as the Podcast Content Marketer:
- Manage the day-to-day execution of Seeking Wisdom, CMO Conversations, and The American Dream, including scheduling, host and guest preparation, pitching and booking quality guests, editing, and post-production content packaging
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of Build, Growth, and Operations, serving as the go-to resource for podcast best practices and technology troubleshooting, as well as post-production content packaging
- Manage the relationship with Drift’s podcast agencies, Casted and Resonate Recordings
- Repurposing content is a tenet of a content marketing strategy, you will be responsible for repackaging Drift podcast episodes into blog, book, and Drift Insider content
- Be in lockstep with Drift’s Video Producer on all things related to video podcasting and help level up our host + guest experience
- Coordinate asset creation and delivery of web and social content with Drift’s Video Producer and Social Media Associate
- Collaborate with Drift’s Video Producer and SEO Lead on keyword research, strategy, and execution for Drift’s podcast content on YouTube
- Explore new opportunities for the growth of the channel, prepare recommendations, and take action to expand listenership
In the first 30 days you will:
- Take over the day-to-day execution of Drift’s podcasts
- Assess the current podcast engine and identify areas of improvement
- Level up our podcast measurement
- Layout the key components of Drift’s podcast strategy going forward, creating a 3 and 6 month roadmap for success
- Meet 1:1 with Drift’s hosts to understand their process and vision
- Own the Drift’s podcast agency relationships
In the first 90 days you will:
- Partner with demand generation to build out a podcast nurture program
- Explore sponsorship opportunities to expand our listener base
- Create native ads for our own shows
- Collaborate with Social Media Associate to identify podcast social/channels we should get involved in (e.g. Podchaser, Podz)
- Drive the strategy for publishing exclusive podcast content in Drift Insider
In the first 6 months you will:
- Emerge as the thought leader on all things podcasting across the entire company
- More accurately report on Drift Podcast impact on influenced pipeline and revenue
- Charting our long term strategy and vision for podcasts
